The Dante Coin was created by Boris Acosta, who obtained a few College degrees, a Minor in Italian Literature, and a Bachelor's degree in Applied Mathematics (Scientific Programming), both from the University of California. After his graduation from this university, Mr. Acosta wrote a book titled "Calculus Tutor", and produced three 2-hour long videos teaching how to solve Calculus problems. Both works were supported and endorsed by prominent professors from the University of California. Later on B.A. studied international business and travelled the world for seven years helping American manufacturers export their products worldwide. He did this by working with the US Department of Commerce in San Diego, which in conjuction with American Embassies overseas rolled out the red carpet for him by setting up appointments with interested importers in different countries. He was nominated 2 years in a row, in 1999 and 2000, for the Ernst & Young Entrepreneur of the Year Award, for building a 450-page website dedicated to internaltional business. It was a breakthrough at the time and for the same reason he was invited to participate for a week long business symposium at the Kauffman Center Institute in Kansas City. Soon after, B.A. wrote a book titled Server Side Includes, a hidden technology within the Apache software, to help manage large websites in almost no time. Apache, as it is shortly known, is a software use to run lynux based servers to host websites. BA, known as a modern Rainassaince man of many talents, is presently a film producer and director with a vision like no other in the film industry. B.A. is a producer and director of films based on Dante's masterpiece, The Divine Comedy. His first film, Dante's Inferno - Abandon All Hope documentary went straight to the Cannes film festival for its pre-launch plan in 2008. B.A.'s following films were Dante's Hell Animated and Inferno Dantesco Animato, both presented at the Cannes film festival as well in 2010 and 2012 respectively. Both of these animations were based on Dino Di Durante's 72-piece art collection, which Mr. Acosta himself directed. Later on in 2014 and 2015 the entire art collection was published in books and ebooks (in many formats) titled "Inferno - The Art Collection", which are available in 33 languages. During all this time, starting in 2007 to the present, Mr. Acosta has concurrently been working on a larger film project, the entire trilogy of Dante's Divine Comedy - Inferno, Purgatory and Paradise. The first slate of this triloby, Inferno by Dante, an Oscar contender to many who have watched this film in private, will be released in 2022 and the sequels Purgatory and Paradise in 2023 and 2024 respectively.
